To the Lake

We look forward to this every Summer:
Bear Lake!

It amazes us, how the kids keep themselves entertained with so many activities!
Like, baseball.

"Bat-her "up!!!!

The Playground at the beach!
This Whirlie-go round has been here since "I" was little!
Better known as the "Whirlie-gig" to our family.
That's OLD!

Collecting.....

And "Skipping."
We spent our entire trip collecting the perfect skipping rocks!
If you look closely, you can see Tadje's rock between skips!!
Playing on the beach!
Yes, Goggles are part of the protocol!
Look at Lauren's goggles she found in Grandpa's boat!
Whew, so glad we found them!!!!

And then, there's the boat, of course!
The temprature of the trip was still quite cool, and the water was near hypo-thermic conditions!
But the children insisted on getting a little drag time!

Ava, found courage to get in the tube this year for the first time!
Doesn't this look fun?!But there's really nothing like watching Tadje and Lauren fly over the crest of a wave,
only to be drenched upon landing!!
Lots and lots of laughs!!!
Can you find them in there?

If you're wondering where Gabriel is?
He read the billboard at the Marina, and the
Legand of the Bear Lake Monster!

It seems that Gabriel, and Mother, have graphic imaginations!
After reading this, he refused to get in the water or tube,
and would tell tall tales to the other children of how he could "see" the
monster in the water and he knew she was in there!

In his defense, I think I was 25.....before I wasn't afraid to get in the water!!!!

And "her" name is....Isabella.
(This is a boat that someone made and you can buy dinner and eat dinner out on the lake.)
Speaking of the Marina...Ava was really soaking it ALL in this year!
Learning the names and stories of everywhere we went!
But there was one thing, that we just couldn't break.
Everytime we pulled the boat into the Marina,
Ava would say, "Here we are...at the Submarine."
I love age 4!

And to top it all off.
The last night on the lake, we pulled the boat out and grilled out!
There's nothing like hot dogs roasted on sticks and the deluxe dessert.......

S'MORES!!!!

YUM!

Mmmmmm!

Thanks for Grandma-Great Mickelson
and
Grandpa Mickelson,
We had a fabulous place to stay....and a boat to follow the car to the lake!
Thanks for such a great time!
