Hard Work=Pay Offs

We recently attended the Salt Lake County Fair!
It is less than a mile from our home....and big excitement around here!

Paul found a coupon for the kids!
All they had to do was read three books and write a 20 word report on each!
Then, ask for "Sparkie" when they arrive.

Little did they know they'd be treated like KINGS!
They each got 3 Free Rides.
(The equivalant of $10 in tickets!)
A ribbon.
And some serious encouragement from the lady on the other side of the booth!

That was perfect!
We didn't have to pay for a thing!!!

The big kids chose to ride the "Gravitron"
3 times in a row!
Impressive!

Ava chose the BIG slide!
A rollor coaster- that circled about 50 times!

And, the Ferris Wheel.
Which was driven by a blind guy
who counted how many times the ride went around
and let everyone off in one fell swoop.
We were on there an HOUR!
And.....he drove it like a Speedster!
I have NEVER been afraid of riding the Ferris Wheel,
but I am now!

We also ventured to the farm animals.
In Paul's next life....with his next wife... he wants to live on a farm!

This was the 4-H auction!
The local stores participate in the auction!
We were mezmerized by the whole ordeal!

If you'd like to know...
This little Porker weighed in at 235 lbs.
Sold for $725!
What a Steal!

What a fun fair in 2010!

Hooray for the kids!
I LOVE County Fairs!
Jackson would NEVER get on the gravitron. I think he would be joining Ava on the slide.....
Cute pictures.

I'm hearing you, girl. I am so not a farmer's wife. Nope.

I love those school reading incentive programs and I love the companies that support them. My kids worked all school year on their reading charts and each got a free pass to Silverwood. Pretty cool!
