Little Red Hen

Now, let's get to the exiting part of our trip!

On the 4th of July we went to a local rodeo in Lake Town!

It's just long enough, that the kids enjoy it!

You can tell it's a little Utah community.

The entire rodeo was centered around the kids!

We had such a good time!

As part of the fun,

They offered a "Chicken Chase."

The rules were:

Chase the Chicken.

Catch it.

You win!

Ava was revved up to catch a chicken!

The first night, we drove home crying because out of 50 children and 5 Hens,

Ava didn't catch one!

The following night, we invited our cousin to join us!

It was just as exciting the second night.

Ava spent the drive out telling Stewart how she was going to "win" the Chicken Chase!

So---Here it comes again.

The Chicken Chase.

Yes indeed.

She won a Hen!!!!

When she returned it to the cowboy by it's tail,

he asked her what she wanted for her prize?

The Hen or a Bag of Candy?

The Rodeo Queen arranged for our Little Red Hen to spend the night in her horse trailer.

Where we picked "her" up and drove her home...to Farmer Luke's Hen House:

The following morning, Ava and I made a bee-line for the Hen House.
Where we heard our Little Red Hen give a
"Cock-a-doodle-doo"  welcome!
