When we lived in Ohio, we had one family that really left a mark!
Ryan and Nikki were our newly-wed neighbors, two doors down.
I LOVED Nikki from the get go!!!
My doorbell would ring.
I'd be un-showered. Cleaning. Chasing a child or two.
She was glam.
She was career.
She was friendly.
She was FUN!!!
I remember when they moved in.
They were kid free with 2 large dogs!
They always had a smile on their face.
They waved, they stopped to talk, they invited us over....
sometimes.
We had Lauren.
A vivacious, precarious, 2 year old!
I can't tell you how many times she rang their door bell
at 6 am
with a packed purse
Notifying them that she was there to stay.
Luck for us, they thought Lauren was the cutest little girl....ever.
(They appreciated kids with "special needs.")
And, they would always call us when that happened.
It didn't take long for us to become friends!
The year we moved Nikki had twin boys, and quickly found out she was expecting again.
I was heart broken to leave such wonderful friends and neighbors.
We. Loved. Them.
We have kept track of each other over the years.
A visit here or there.
This year...it was HERE!!!
They came to ski.....and we got to tag along!!!
Oh. My. Goodness!
Did we ever have a good time!
New Years Eve. Skiing all day. Kids. Jumps. Speed. Dinner. Laughs. Kids. OSU Football. Rowdy kids.
Good Friends. Good Times.
