Well, as usual, we have had quite a week!
Just to explain the next few posts will come rather quickly...we have a lot to report!
Ahem.
This week, Gabe was wrestling Paul...
Maybe I'll quote his words.
"I was being kind of naughty and I got hit."
What REALLY happened was...
it was bed time.
(Enough said?)
I think Paul had been laying down with the boys for 45 minutes or so.
Gabriel was jumping and wrestling Paul.
Upon being "pounced" by Gabe.
Paul put his hand up and caught Gabe in the nose....
OUCH!
The ironic thing was that Gabe quickly and quietly went to bed.
There were no tears or any indication that he was really hurt.
While getting ready for school, Gabe started SCREAMING!
He had a bloody nose, like I have never seen.
It took a whole hour of my best first aid skills to control the bleeding.
(Head between legs, applied pressure, cold pack, and more holding.)
The remainder of the day was touch and go.
Four major bleeds in 12 hours.
The next day we saw our new Dr...(whom we love)
Sure enough...a broken nose.
That night we met my parents for dinner at:
Salt City Burger Company
So, so good! They grind their own meat. It's amazing.
Their "turkey burger" is a LOVE!
and thier sweet potato fries aren't bad either!
Just outside the doors they have these old photos of Salt Lake in the '20's.
We like to look and see what we recognize etc.
Well, my Dad, leaned over to Gabe and said,
"Look Gabe, that store sells noses! We should go and take a look!"
Ouch.
