The kids had their annual piano recital, a couple of weeks ago.
They all have really enjoyed their teacher, Joni.
She schedules the recital at a retirement center so that the elderly can enjoy the music too!
Such a great idea!
(Plus they have a really great Steinway!)
Joni lives in the neighborhood.
As do many of the children.
Lauren played: Largo
She did so great!
Tadje played: Carnival
Lively and fun!
Gabriel played: Run, Mouse, Run
Memorized and Amazing!
This year Grandma & Granpma Mick, and Auntie Kate, all came!
Auntie Kate drove the boys, and was following the caravan, when she suddenly got caught at a red light.
No one seemed to notice, and she was FRANTICALLY trying to call someone to find the retirement center. Luckily, Grandpa called her when the recital had started, and help everyone arrive for their performance!!! Yikes!
Because the recital was on Sunday, I invited everyone for dinner just before.
We had rice pilaf, salad, green beans, and BBQ pork loin with Mango Sauce.
It was delicious, if I do say so!
Enjoying Dinner with Gram!
I am always so impressed with my kids when they get to show off all their hard work!
