Our entire spring season was spent at baseball games!
Both Tadje and Gabe playe ball this year.
(Unfortunately, Tadje's coach was untrained in treated children with love and kindness....so I pulled him.)
Gabriel's coaches--on the other hand--were amazing!!!
In learning about Tadje's plight, they picked him up to practice with the team.
A couple of these coaches work for the local high school, as Varsity and JV coaches!
They completely encouraged him to play his best.
He felt like a million dollars!
And although he couldn't play with the team, he loved practicing!
( I personally feel this is what being a "good man" is about. To teach our young boys that it's OK to nurture, encourage, and to be kind!)

So here's a few fun things Gabe's team did!
Gabe was a real good team mate!
He made lots of little friends and had a good time!
He was also a good little hitter.
Helping the team get four runs as the second
to last hitter of the championship game. Tying up the game. Despite
a very bad reaction to the smoke from the
fires in the area. He played like a CHAMP!
The next hitter, hit a home run!
They won the CHAMPIONSHIP!
It was quite exciting!
*As a result of the fires and the game, Gabe spent the next week in and out of the ER for upper respiratory issues. *
I am always very worried when this happens with him, as he maxes out the steroids and other medications they are able to prescribe!
He was a real trooper.
